Cosa c’è di più mainstream del Carnevale di Ivrea?  Per chi è nato qui, ma anche per chi non ha mai messo piede in Canavese, Ivrea significa essenzialmente due cose: l’Olivetti e, per l’appunto, il Carnevale.

Eppure, dietro a questo grande spettacolo folcloristico, si nascondono storie e particolarità che lo rendono un evento sì popolare, ma assolutamente (e quasi paradossalmente) non-convenzionale.

However, we decided to start this project with a Special Issue dedicated to a single major theme.

We have chosen to recount about the historical Carnival of Ivrea because it’s the event that best represents the Canavese, it is the most important annual event for our territory and we are obviously passionate about it.
